Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The present experiment investigated effects of an actual hand performance on semantic judgment of a verbal phrase of action(e.g., Hold a bag with a hand). Forty participants judged whether the target phrase is right or wrong semantically, which were preceded by one of the four primes. Positive priming effect was observed in the simultaneous hand enactment condition and successive looking movie condition. This result suggests that performance information involved kinesthesis is related to semantic system directly, and visual information may be related to semantic system through performance information. |
