Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, method of control commands for functional electrical stimulation (FES) system using head movement is described. Control commands for FES system consist of a selection command, an execution command and a proportional control command. We made a prototype control command device in which three gyroscope sensors were used as sensors to detect head movement. By assuming a restoration of an elbow flexion and extension, we demonstrated that it would be possible to input control commands by head movement (the control command device). And we also considered how to avoid inputting by an unexpected sneeze.
