Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This study deals with the user interface of communication aids by taking into account certain environmental factors when a user utilize the devices. Among environmental factors, we focus on two issues; (1) cooperative activities between people with disabilities and carers during the use of the device, and (ii) ethical and moral issues that arise from these situations. We also emphasise the importance of the design approach to make usable devices, which adopts the idea of user involvement including people with disabilities and his/her carers.
