Abstract(in English) In adopting and prevailing new interpersonal telecommunication media, i.e., mobile phone, pager, e.t.c., young women are considered to paly an important role. They are discovering new ways of using such new media, e.g., consumetory use, anonymous intimate communication. The survey was done in order to investigate into their acceptance of using the new media and their media selection in various situations of interpersonal communication. As the results, the young adult females show high acceptance of using mobile phone in contrast with males and aged persons. Moreover, it was suggested that they select telephone, mobil phone, face-to-face communication, and e-mail in terms of quality of communication(socio-emotional vs.informational)and cultural factors as well as emergency, complexity of information, distance.
