Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We analyzed the navigation behavior on actual streets of male and female subjects after rehearsal of navigation using a videotape(video), a street map with landmarks(map)or a written description of a route(text). Twelve males and twelve females participated as subject in the experiment. The result of the analysis showed that the three methods of rehearsal(video, map and text)caused diffrences in corners where mistakes were easily made the number of mistakes made at corners of the routes, time of navigation, and so on. The female subjects were apt to pay their attention to scenes on the routes and males marked spatial structures of the routes more frequently than the females.
