Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The concept of universal design has been introduced in designing devices so that they can be used by the largest number of people including people with disabilities. In this report we first apply this concept to the design of devices and various services in everyday living, and we get the concept of universal design in a wide sense. We then classify typical information services available with the use of certain dimensions. We finally propose an approach to designing services including devices for people with and without disabilities ; we call it as a service oriented design method.
