| 抄録(英) | As the first step to the innovation in higher education in Japan, the Ministry of Education developed Space Collaboration System (SCS) which accelerates networking among Universities by using satellite communication. Since 1996, Kobe University has been using the SCS in genearal education. In order to examine its effect upon regular teaching, students were asked to evaluate quality of sound and image which were sent through the SCS and quality of teaching. As a results, there was no signifcant difference between the SCS teaching and the non-SCS teaching, although some technical problems, size and layout of characters in slides, lighting of classroom, e.t.c., were pointed out by the students. It was suggested that the quality of teaching and students' interest to theme determine the total evaluation rather than the quality of sound and image. |
