Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In order to overcome sufferings of physically handicapped people, we have developed and evaluated a personal tele-presence robot which works as an argent. Some highly-advanced tele-presence robots have been developed for the spatial work so far, however, it is not realistic to apply these expensive robots for personal use because of cost or weight problems. So we have selected minimum factors and integrated with easily available parts such as a CCD video camera, a proportional radio control system, and a video transmitter. In this paper we refer to the required factors of the tele-presence robot, report and discuss the results of some related experiments. |
