Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have been studying on the construction of Sign Word Processor(SWP) that generates a sequence of sign words from Japanese-labels. The Sign Word Processor has functions that generate and edit sign motion pictures based on the editing approach. In this paper, we focus upon the application of SWP to the generation of Japanese Sign Language(JSL) sentences for VOD(Video On Demand) services in ISDN system. We show certain results of perceptual experiments of JSL sentences with different picture qualities that are generated by SWP and transmitted through ISDN channels. The results show the relation between pasting method and picture qualities.
