Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In interpersonal communication not only person information but also facial expression play important role. Face recognition models mainly deal with person identity process, little is known about facial expression analysis. By using spatial filtering and priming paradigm, this study investigated which stage does the relationship between facial expression analysis and person identity processing occur. Subjects were required to judge on facial expression (smile or neutral) in experiment I, or on familiarity of person (familiar or unfamiliar) in experiment II. The results suggest that there are interdependencies between the analysis of facial expression and that of person information in face recognition processes.
