| 抄録(和) | 障害や病状の進行により, 走査選択式によるコミュニケーションができなくなる障害者に対応するには随意運動が比較的最後まで残る目の動きや瞬きを利用することが考えられる. 現在のところ, 瞬きや目の左右の動きを「はい」「いいえ」等としたり, 目の開閉をスイッチ入力のON/OFFに利用している例が多いが, 障害者が文字を順番に注視する視線を計測し, その注視した文字を直接選択した方が直感的で分かりやすく, 入力効率もよい. 今回, 視覚的なフィードバックを行い, 任意の文字が選択されるように意識して文字を注視した際の視線の移動を計測し, コミュニケーション機器へと応用できるような処理アルゴリズムについて考察するとともに, 視線入力式コミュニケーション機器を試作した. 6名の健常者により使用評価したところ文字を注視するだけで名前や挨拶の言葉を選択できることが分かった. |
| 抄録(英) | As a result of progressively disabling disease, some people with disabilities (e.g. progressive muscular dystrophy, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, etc.) become hard of operating scanning communication aids. In this case they communicate solely with their eyes, moving them up (or left) as "yes", down (or right) as "no" or blinking as input signals for a scanning communication aids. It is intuitive and efficient, however, eye-gazed character on communication board (or item on menu board) is selected directly. In this report, we analyzed eye movement with visual feedback during gazing desired characters on communication board and described prototype of eye gaze communication system. 6 non-disabled subjects tried to operate this system and they could pick up their name and some greetings only by eye gazing. |
