Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) At present, new 3-D media are evolving from the merging of computing, communications, and imaging technologies. The computer is now an integral part of media production and display which was unheard of on the present scale and sophistication, a decade earlier. Digital multimedia is the emerging form of communication in the late 1990's. This paper presents a brief overview of 3-D communication media and introduces 3-D HDTV production and its psychological effects, from an information design perspective.
