Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we make clear the performance of the walking aid system for the visually impaired. As the result of some walking experiments, it is clear that this system can navigate the visually impaired. In particular, for the veering tendency, this system is useful. We propose a navigation method considering walker's ability and surrounding informations. To evaluate this navigation method we made some walking experiments. As the result, this method is useful to shorten the walking time for beginers, and the walking time is decreased by 33% from 45minutes.
