| 抄録(和) | 私たちは, Windows 3.1上で動作する視覚障害者用Windows画面読み上げソフトウエアを開発した. このソフトは, 視覚障害ユーザにキーボードから操作を行わせ, 音声フィードバックを行うという操作体系をとっている. キー操作には, Windows 3.1固有のキー割り当てを採用している. このソフトウェアを視覚障害者に実際に使ってもらい, その評価を得た. その結果, (1)読み上げ音声の話速をユーザ自身が変更できること, (2)読み上げ途中で音声をスキップできること, (3)音声出力を一時停止できること, などが改善要望事項として挙げられた. Windows95を対象とした2次試作では, これらの要望を満たすよう開発を進めている. |
| 抄録(英) | For the visually-impaired and blind, we have developed a Windows screenreader which works on Windows Version 3.1. Our program is based on the key-driven and speech-output method in which Windows standard key assignments are made use of. To evaluate this software, its copies were distributed and used by visually-impaired and blind people. The results of the evaluations showed than the screenreader should have the functions such as (1)the user can change the speed of the synthesized speech, (2)the user can skip the current speech output, and (3)the user can stop the speech output altogether. In the current development of a screenreader which runs on Windows 95, we have been dealing with these requirements. |
