Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Comminication aids are used for the severely motor disabled. It is desired to reduce switch activations, as well as to design suitable input switches. In this paper, adaptive coding-based selection scheme of the communication aid in multiple switches use is described. D-ary dynamic Huffman coding technique is applied for the selection strategy, which successively and almost idealy reduces average switch activations per letter.
