Power Factor Improvement Switching Power Supply by Voltage Feedback Form by Complex Resonant Type Converter

Abstract(in English) For the consumer apparatus manufacturing company there has been a request for the power supply to comply with the regulation of harmonic distortion. To reduce harmonic distortion, power factor improvement switching power supply by voltage feedback form has been developed. By using magnetic or electrostatic colopling with the Voltage Resonant type DC/DC converter switching power supply's primary resonant volotage and the fast recovery diode, which feedbacks to the AC rectify capacitor. These circuit are all one-converter form and improves the power factor up to 0.8 by having high efficiency, low cost, small sized, and light. The report will show the circuit diagram, operation and also the results of the experiment data.
