Abstract(in English) | Since the DC-DC converter has a negative dynamic resistance, an oscillation would occur if the stability condition on between its input filter capacitance, its negative resistance and the input line inductance is not satisfied. In this paper we calculate the DC-DC converter stability conditions by using a simple model which regards the DC-DC converter as an input filter capacitance and a negative resistance. Good agreement between the calculation results using the model and the simulation results using the state-space-average method verify the model accuracy. Comprehensive calculations using the model identifies the conditions on DC-DC converter stability. The model is very useful to study the DC-DC converter stability under the large input line inductance. |
