Abstract(in English) | For the suppression of harmonics occurrence or the power factor Correction (PFC)in commercial power lines, a single-Stage Converter Operating in the discontinuous-conduction mode (DCM)and a parallel-type converter controlled by multiple switches have been proposed,but some difficulties,such as the increase in output voltage ripple and the complicated controlfor multiple switches, are discussed, This paper proposes a Hybrid-Parallel PFC converter where a conventional capacitor-input-type DC-to-DC converter and a conventional PFC converter operating in the DCMmare connected in parallel, and a single switch is commonly used and is controlled to compensate the output the output voltage ripple. The steady-state characteristics of this proposed converter is examined analytically and experimentally. |
