Abstract(in English) | In the recent information society, small and light portable electronic equipment have become extremely important. There still exists strong demands for developing small and high-capacity secondary cells used as their power sources. Japan Storage Battery developed the prismatic sealed nickel-metal hydride cells "HP series" for the portable headphone stereo in fall 1992. The performance of "HP series" have been improved and they have been applied to portable audio instruments such as portable mini players, small communication terminals such as cellular phones, and so on. Now GS-Melcotec has launched new "HP series" cells with higher capacity than conventional types and the performance of new "HP series" cells are reported in this paper. |
