Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes a new dc-dc converter to obtain a wide output voltage control range and higher efficiency. In this dc-dc converter, a boost-mode and buck-mode dc-dc converters are connected in parallel, and the dc-inductor current flows only the buck-converter part or the boost-converter part. Thus, losses produced by the switches/diodes is less than that of the boost and buck cascaded dc-dc converter. The topology and principle of converter operation are introduced. Then, application to single-phase PFC rectifier is discussed.
