Abstract(in English) | Recently the guideline to suppress the input curent hamonics of the power supplies in the electronic systems has been presented by IEC and the Ministry of intemational Trade and Industry of Japan. We previously reported the method to suppress the input cuirent hamonics and low frequency output voltage npple using the multiple-input ac-dc converter, and its operation principle and performance dhatacteristics. The purpose of this paper is to examine the influence of the inductance of energy storage reactor on the performance characteristics of the buck-boost type two-input ac-dc converter. Also, the control strategy of main switches is discussed. Furthemore, the performance characterstics of new-method to suppress the input cuirent hamonics using the multiple-input converter is confimed by expeniment As a resuit, it is clanified that the buck-boost typetwo-input ac-dc converter has excellent performance characteritics in the discontinuous mode of the reactor current, and that, in this case, the proposed converter can achieve the high power factor over 0.99, low total harmonic current distortion factor less than 7%, low output voltage ripple of 10mV and relatively high power efficiency of 85%. |
