Abstract(in English) A novel modiffied half-bridge type inverter for the electronic ballast of fluorescent lamps with the excellent hamonic distortion factor was proposed. The purpose of this is to examine a relationship between the total hamonic distortion factor and parameters of the transformer of this inverter. As a result, it is clarified that the maximum limits of the input current harmonic distortion in IEC 1000-3-2 clas C is satisfied and also revealed that the power factor over 0.97 and total harmonic distortion factor less than 11% are obtained by the proposed inverter.
