Abstract(in English) Recently, the limitation of the input current harmonic distortion of the electronic equipments has been world-widely standardized to avoid the interference between the equipments through the AC line, since the switching power supplies for the equipments have become attractive. By the results, the equipments needed to add the power factor correction circuit in the input stage. In view of the simplification of the circuit, the new PFC technique which is called "charge pump power factor correction (CPPFC)" was proposed for an electronic ballast for a fluorescent lamp. In this paper, the concept of the CPPFC and the circuit analysis on the equivalent circuit were reviewed. Then the problems and the strategies on the CPPFC were disussed.
