Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper proposes new artificial projection images generated by synthesizing two projection images for the purpose of observing three dimensional (3D) gray images. Here summation, multiplication and division are adopted as synthesis methods and two images are arbitrarily selected from nine projection images, or maximum, mean and minimum projection images of an original 3D image, those of the 3D gradient image and those of the 3D laplacian image. We generate the artificial projection images of actual three dimensional chest CT images and show the evaluation results of the proposed projection images from the point of view of nodule detection by using SN ratio and degree of visibility.
