| Abstract(in English) | We have developed a computer-aided diagnosis (CAD) system for lung cancer screening using helical CT images on 1996, and it has been executed for clinical test since July 1997. The CAD system has many false negative cases and false positive cases caused by unknowing lung structure. We propose an algorithm to recognize the pulmonary position in body axis direction. The proposed algorithm was evaluated using a database of 200 CT images. |
