Abstract(in English) | In computer-assisted surgery, accuracy validation of procedures such as surface model generation, marker arrangement for tracking, and registration have been researched independently. Recently, integrated researches of them with the aim of accuracy calculation of the entire system are mentioned. J. Lea has simulated the propagation of the marker error in the system. However, these methods did not estimate non-linear transformation of system component such as registration. King have estimated the overlay accuracy in augmented reality using experimental method; A set of 500 points randomly have generated from the surgical field to compute error statistics. A gold standard dataset has been calculated by transforming these points from preoperative image coordinates to overlay coordinates using typical registration, tracking and calibration matrices. This has been compared with the data produced when errors were introduced at various stage of the system. In this paper, we validated the noise sensitivities of surgical evaluations, i.e. the effect of marker error in surgical evaluations of pelvis osteotomy. Noise sensitivity shows the reliability of a surgical evaluations, and gives an index of system design such as 3D localizer selection in CAS. In our system, all inaccurate factors were computed by random error generator, and all procedures in CAS was faithfully simulated. In experiments, we show the limitation of marker accuracy for surgical evaluations. |
