Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the orthopaedic surgery, estimation of the three-dimensional (3-D) position and orientation of knee prosthesis components using single-plane fluoroscopy is highly important to validate innovative prosthesis designs and to analyze kinematics. In general, the accuracy of translation perpendicular to image plane (Z-position) has worse accuracy than that of the other translation. This work shows the new method for the improvement of the accuracy of Z-position. The method is based on the result that RMSD depend on error of Z translation. Our new method improved the accuracy of Z-position compared with previous methods.
