Abstract(in English) This paper evaluates the difference between the detectability of lung cancer shadows in three dimensional chest CT images and that in two dimensional projection images. First, we compare SN ratios of real lung cancer shadows on three dimensional CT images with those on two dimensional projection images. Secondly, a theoretical model of the projection process is introduces to simulate the SN ratios of cancer shadows of different sizes.
