Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Recently, the images of brain and minute biotissue of the body are obtained by the MRI. Moreover, for diagnosis of disease of brain and research for brain physiology, it gives us important evidence. In this research, we developed the algorithm for automatic extraction of brain region from head images acquired from MRI scanner. This algorithm uses snake and multi-seed region growing with leak check and scalp region was deleted before extracting brain region. By this method, the probability of leak of region growing from brain region was well suppressed and brain region was extracted easily and accurately. |
