Abstract(in English) This paper presents further experiments on automated extraction of stomach fold regions from 3D abdominal X-ray CT images. The 3D tophat filter for gray images, one of morphological operations is used to extract fold regions. In experiments using CT images taken with several different conditions, an influence of conditions on extraction results of fold regions was examined. As a result, it was shown that there is a proper amount of sparkling medium for inflating the stomach in taking an abdominal CT image. This must be a helpful lead to develop a system for computer aided diagnosis of stomach with 3D CT images.
