Abstract(in English) | The objective of the present study is the development of an automatically matching algorithm that can compare the present CT images to the early ones for the assistance of comparative reading in retrospect. This algorithm can apply a computer-aided diagnosis(CAD)system to detect nodule candidates at an early stage from the present and the early helical CT for lung cancer screening of the no-film diagnostic environment. This algorithm consists of the region of interest(ROI)extraction process and the comparison process of each slice in the present and the early CT images. In our study, this algorithm is evaluated by the visual observation using 60 subjects' 136 pairs. The results of algorithm have indicated a good performance. |
