Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a navigation system for the visually impaired. We focus on the fact that textured paving blocks are the most popular facilities even in railroad stations which are dangerous place for them, so this system is intended for use in place in which textured paving blocks are laid. This system gives a user information that can help the visually impaired to walk by processing images of the front of the user. To evaluate this system we made some walking experiments. As the result, this system can help a user to walk.
