Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We examined the role of the posterior parietal cortex(PPC) especially in relation with the spatial selection by using MEG and a response selection GO/NOGO task. In the present study, the response selection task induced activations in and around the superior parietal lobule(SPL), mainly in the GO condition, and most consistently on the contralateral finger movement. Both SPL activation was induced in both finger GO condition. Our study suggests that the human PPC plays a role in relation to response selection in visuo-motor task.
