Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | Elliptic curve based cryptosystems (ECC) are thought to be suitable for implementing on low-power devices such as smart cards because of the small key-length. The side channel attacks against these devices may be successful if the implementation is naive or careless. Recently, Brier and Joye proposed the indistinguishable addition formula for Weierstrass-form elliptic curves [BJ02] in order to resist the side channel attacks. This paper studies the property of the formula and proposes a chosen ciphertext attack to the ElGamal cryptosystem with their addition formula. |
