Abstract(in English) The research and development of high-speed power-line communication (PLC), which is about 10Mbps, using the high-frequency (HF) band between 2MHz and 30MHz have become active. Since the channel characteristic and the noise property of the band have not studied well, the computer simulation is not enough to develop the PLC system. The experiment using the practical power-line is also necessary to verify the bit-error-rate (BER) performance. In this paper, the BER measurement system for the HF-band PLC, in which the modulation method and data-bit-rate are programmable, is proposed. Using the system, the improvement of the BER performance due to the impedance matching at the end of VVF cables, which are widely used as indoor power-line cables in Japan, is shown. And the BER performance using the practical power-line of the authors' laboratory is also measured.
