Airport Experiments on a Baggage Handling System by Using RFID Technology

Abstract(in English) This paper describes Airport experiments on a baggage handling system by using 13.56 MHz band RFID technology based on ISO18000-3. After a brief introduction the experiments are explained and results are shown. Both modes of 1 and 5 are simultaneously examined. Each tag has an IC chip driven by received RF power. Mode 1 adopts an antenna printed on the tag using print technology as the first trial in the world, while mode 5 is the first trial in the world. Each mode or problems to be solved and prospects are made clear.
