Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) To prevent the growing number of car collisions occuring every year, this paper will introduce the Magnetic Marker Inter-Vehicle System (MMIV System) combining the 5.8GHz inter-vehicle communication and the PN coded magnetic marker system which uses on-road magnetic markers organized in a PN Sequence. Through experiments conducted inside tunnels and at intersections, by using this system along with RTK-GPS, stable positioning can be made possible, and high accuracy can be maintained. Also, in the field of communication, when two vehicles are out of sight, over 100m from each other, one inside the tunnel and one outside, the received power can be maintain at a -90[dBm] level and packet error rate was kept at 0. This experiment can be said to be a valuable first step in the next generation ITS.
