Flexible Image Retrieval with Sketched Query Image

Abstract(in English) Image retrieval systems that allow a user to express a query as a simple sketch are being actively investigated. However, their graphical user interfaces to sketch have only simple drawing and painting functions provided by the facile image-drawing tools. Therefore, the use of such conventional systems can't achieve the high-precision and efficient image retrieval because it doesn't have no facility to put the textures reflecting DB's feature on the query image. We propose a flexible image retrieval system enabling the user to express his retrieval intent widely, by sketching a query with the texture images that are extracted in advance as the representative ones in image repositories by clustering their image features.
