Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The image recognition system using multiplex resolution expression of wavelet transforms was proposed. Since processing a lot of data in real time was needed in the image recognition field, we realized it by the Hw/Sw consolidated system that combines the rapidity of hardware, and the pliability of software. The chip of wavelet transform implemented on a FPGA, will run 20times faster than the wavelet transform program on a processor (600MHz, 128K, cache). Moreover, the validity of template matching by the multiplex resolution of wavelet transform was showed by the easy example.
