Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | In this report, we investigate the stability of slotted ALOHA systems with retransmission cut off and the exponential backoff algorithm. The effect of the exponential backoff ratio is discussed by means of the catastrophy theory. It is shown that for any exponential backoff ratio, slotted ALOHA systems are mono-stable for any value of packet generation probability and for any initial value of packet retransmission probability, if the number of retransmission trials is limited to at most eight. While the bistable region is also presented when the number of retransmission trials are not less than nine. |
