Measurement of Nonlinear Coefficient of DWDM Fibers

Abstract(in English) We measured the nonlinear coefficient of DWDM fibers (LEF,SCDCF) using CW Dual-Frequency Method (CW-SPM Method) which is deliberated as JEC 62285 TR Ed.1: Method A, and verified this measurement. We have validated that the accuracy of measurement depends on wavelength differences, fiber length and center wavelength. We have realized this method has advantage of simple setup and reproducibility is good when measurement condition of fibers is best. We also measured same samples using conventional XPM method and FWM method, and its n_2/A_ were compared with value of CW Dual-Frequency Method. As the result, the accuracy of FWM method is dependence on wavelength different and center wavelength.
