Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wide wavelength region from O-band to L-band will be utilized in B-PON system (G.983.3) and CWDM systems in access and metropolitan area networks, which is different from conventional systems with 1.3 μm and 1.55 μm. This means that wavelength dependence of fiber characteristic dispersion affects the signal transmission in these systems. Therefore, we estimate transmission distance limited by loss and chromatic dispersion of installed SMF cables. In addition, we investigate the expansion of wavelength region and transmission capacities.
