The wavelength dependency measurement of an optical passive component

Abstract(in English) In various wavelength dependent evaluations of an optical passive component for DWDM, requirements for high-accuracy and high-resolution wavelength measurement have risen.At the same time, it is strongly required to shorten measurement time to save manufacturing costs. In this paper, we introduce a measurement system that combines a tunable laser source with a single or multi-channel optical power meter as a system, which meets those requirements. We also report calculation and experiment results of error elements of the PDL measurement with the system, as the PDL measurements have been becoming indispensable with optical passive components.
