1.5μm transmission characteristics of SMA fiber on the actual field

Abstract(in English) We report an optical transmission experiment in 1.55μm band to single-mode optical fiber for 1.31μm band(ITU-T G.652). We have built optical fiber networks mainly with single-mode optical fiber for 1.31μm band. This time we tried to transmit optical signal of a single wavelength in 1.55μm band and acquired various data as the necessary investigation of charactcristic to apply WDM(Wavelength Division Multiplexing)technology to these fibers.
