Improvement of an Optical-Fiber-Dispersion Distribution Measurement System

Abstract(in English) A method for measuring the chromatic dispersion distribution of an optical fiber along its length using four-wave mixing have been proposed. However, there are some dead-zone for the measurement at the both ends and the splicing point, which limit the measurement accuracy or range. In this report, we describe the investigation and the demonstration of reducing the measurement dead-zone.
