Abstract(in English) A polarization-maintaining WDM(PM-WDM)fiber coupler can combine signal and pump power with polarization status of signal maintained. This device is applicable to polarization maintaining(PM)amplifiers. In this paper, all-fiber type PM-WDM coupler for 980/1550nm band and 1480/1550nm band were proposed. Low insertion loss and low polarization cross talk of both types have been achieved. PM-WDM fiber couplers also show high reliability characteristics and high power durability up to 1W.
