Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Superstructure fiber Bragg gratings(SSFBG's)are especially attractive for wavelength-division multiplexing(WDM)systems because of their comb filter responses. As the capacity of WDM systems grouws, SSFBG's used in the WDM systems have to be broader and more densely spaced. To realize the broad-bandwidth and dense spacing, SSFBG's inevitably have to be long. In this paper, we propose and demonstrate two fabrication method(scanning phase mask method and multiple phase shift method)for SSFBG having broad-bandwidth and densely-spaced channels.
