Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The proton-exchanged lithium niobate(LN)waveguide is resistant to optical damage(photorefractive effect). Therefore the proton-exchanged LN waveguide is the attractive material for optical information and processing applications. In this report, the photorefractive effect in the proton-exchanged waveguide formed on the MgO-doped LN is investigated. As a result, the sample with the initial PE layer of 1μm becomes most resistant to optical damage after annealing at 330 ℃ for 300 min. The photorefractive effect in the different wavelength will also be discussed.
