Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As an effective life guard system from toxicants, almost all kind of living things induce Cytochrome P450(P450)for metabolizing such chemical species. However, it is also known that some molecular type of super family of P450 strongly related to cancer development. From the medical point of view, for the predictive diagnosis of cancer, efficient sensing technique of P450 is demanded and it must be with in vivo capability. In this report, a high-sensitive fiber-optic sensor system for P450 detection is presented. Demonstrations are also described performed using P450-1A induced in liver of living rats and EROD reaction in the sensing process. The optical power of fluorescence from living rats is successfully detected with good sensitivity. For an additional dmonstration, some toxicants generally known as environmental pollutants are used to induce P450 in living rats and we obtain good results. This implies possibility of a new environment pollution monitor by the opto-bio sensing technique.
