Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Wavelength spacing is becoming narrower in the wavelength division multiplexing(WDM)systems. We propose and demonstrate multiwavelength fiber lasers with tunable wavelength spacing.A tunable spacing filter consists of polarizers and a PMF. By changing the stress position on the PMF, the spacing can be controlled. We could tune the wavelength spacing of a multiwavelength fiber laser with the erbium doped fiber cooled by liquid nitrogen. We also demonstrate multiwavelength operation at room temperature by using an acousto optic modulator.
